Gustav Theodore Holst was born on this day 21 September 1874. He was an English composer, arranger and teacher and is best known for his orchestral suite The Planets. The most played movements is Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity but these days I think that we need Venus, the Bringer of Peace. Greenwich Time review With candles and chimes, chants and "ooohs and aaahs," the Christmas Concert of the Greenwich Choral Society immediately wrapped the audience in its wondrous annual Christmas music experience.
