"He Watching Over Israel"

by Felix Mendelssohn

"He Watching Over Israel", from the oratorio "Elijah, Op. 70", by Felix Mendelssohn, premiered August 26, 1846, in Birmingham, England. Mendelssohn believed that the life of the prophet Elijah epitomized the evolution of the Jewish faith. So, during this season of Passover - enjoy this movement from Elijah - He watching over Israel, slumbers not nor sleeps.

"Ave Verum Corpus"

by Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart

Six months before he died, Mozart gave a friend a little gift – the 46-bar “Ave Verum Corpus,” one of the world’s most beautiful songs.

These 4 members of the Young Artists Philharmonic accompany about 40 GCS singers – all virtually – to offer Mozart’s little gift to our family and friends at Easter. And special thanks to YAP Conductor Stefano Miceli and GCS Maestro Paul F. Mueller for making this happen.

2020-2021 Season

Given the evolving Covid-19 pandemic          and the concern for singers, patrons and          audience we cancelled our live  2020-2021  concerts.

We are committed to continuing the GCS tradition of bringing fine music to our audience.  To that end we have prepared virtual performances for your enjoyment.

Watch our virtual performance videos.

We are working to create a 2021-2022  live season starting with the Christmas 2021 concert.
